Beautiful golden hour sunshine on the beach sounds like heaven doesn’t it? Kamloops is so pretty when it’s not winter, and with spring in the air I’m getting excited to get outside and shoot people!! While I wait for a bit of green, I’m revisiting a few of last fall’s family shoots and blogging a few that haven’t made it here yet, starting with this lovely and hilarious family. We rescheduled this session once to avoid dark, dreary weather, and it was perfect that we did. This particular day didn’t start off great but ended with a spectacular sunset and the most gorgeous golden evening light.
This particular park has historical significance to the family and it was pretty cool to learn about their history (and the history of the park) as we walked the area, finding places to pause for photos.
This family is seldom serious, and while I didn’t post some of the most outrageous antics (you’re welcome Paul) there are a few in here that give you a pretty good idea of how much fun they have together. It was difficult to shoot straight at times I was laughing so hard. It is an extra level of entertainment to be photographing friends, they know how I shoot, and I know how they act, so we were able to push some lines, climbing things I wouldn’t always ask clients to climb and knowing that regardless of where they were put to pose, someone was going to do something funny, so I was on the ready!! Sessions like this remind me to always be “on the ready” with every client because you never know what’s going to happen next. So much fun, I LOVE my job!!
Thank you so much for asking me to photograph you again, friends!! It was a remarkable amount of fun. xo
