This was the last wedding of the season last fall, and it was a stunner of a day! Gorgeous fall color, sunshine, spectacular scenery, and a stunning couple… seriously, how could it have been better? The couple also happens to be friends of ours, which added a whole other element of fun and celebration to the job 🙂 Steve and Hayley are hilarious, and even more so when they’re together. That said, their wedding also had moments of beautiful serene romance…. this Sun Rivers wedding was kind of perfect!
The day before the wedding we took a golf cart out location scouting and found the most unlikely place for amazing photos. There was an a huge pile of rocks in a dirty construction area, tucked behind the sagebrush that ended up looking spectacular in photos. Different + Amazing = a full on Win!
Hayley and the girls all got ready at a friends house, which is where I met up with them, although I probably could have found them without an address by following the sounds of laughter. It was a fun morning!! Hayley’s makeup was done by the always fabulous Laine Dagneau and her hair by her hair stylist friend Malonie. She looked amazing, and putting on the gorgeous Watters dress transformed her into a princess 🙂
Steve met us outside the house for their first look and after a few portraits of them and their girls it was wedding time!! Sun Rivers is a beautiful setting for a wedding, one of those places that looks great all year round. We were given carts to bomb around in (the staff there are the loveliest!) and found some incredibly scenic locations for our photos. (Once you see Hayley and her dress you’ll see why I think she looked like a princess!)
I always offer a bit of a night portrait session to my couples, and the night lights of Kamloops in the background added just the right drama for this quick night portraits session. What a great day!!! Congratulations again you two!!!!!!!!!!! xo
