To fully appreciate this elopement in beautiful  Penticton, BC you need to let your imagination run away with you a bit…. so let your mind wander with this photographer if you will…. perfect September sunshine, a playful picnic in the park, the enchanting, intimate courtyard wedding ceremony, sweeping cliffs above indigo water, the beautiful bride,  windswept droplets of water blowing off the sparkling waters of Okanagan Lake, dancing, laughter, windswept embraces, a bit of vintage and a lot of love…. it was divine.

I love it when couples do things a bit differently and one thing they really wanted was a picnic in the park, and so they did.  They wanted the day to be a lighthearted and carefree celebration of their love, and the picnic definitely set the tone for the rest of the day!  The September sunshine was just warm enough, and we had the most incredible light all day.  It was amazing, and I was in heaven!!  From sun dappled trees in the park to sparkling light on the splashing water to a gorgeous sunset, we got to have it all that day!!!

Penticton and the Dragon’s Den hold a lot of history and significance for Trisha, and it’s a beautiful little piece of heaven, it made perfect sense for her and Sheldon’s wedding to be held there.  The Dragon’s Den has the most magnificent little courtyard, reminiscent of Greece, complete with a wrought iron spiral staircase.  SUCH a romantic little nook for a wedding and ridiculously perfect for these two!!

Dinner at Theo’s Restaurant was amazing, and even though we were just one (big) table to 12 people in a busy restaurant, dinner still felt like we were in our own little happy bubble in the middle of the hubbub.  I love that feeling of being secluded and set apart in a busy setting, I guess it’s what happens when you have a totally tuned in group of people together!

It was an incredible day, and I felt blessed to be part of the celebrations.  Congratulations again you two, and much love to you!!  xo
