Meet Sydney! Syd needed to update her modelling portfolio and asked me if I could help her with that! Heck yes!!!!! Model portfolio building sessions are SO creative and it’s fun to think outside the portraiture box just a bit by adding angles and fashion flare to the poses. They are a lot like grad portrait sessions actually, inspired by fashion and vogue, although maybe just a touch more moody than a typical grad session. Every session is unique, and planning a model shoot in my Kamloops portrait studio is a big part of the fun! Getting together to brainstorm looks and poses got everyone involved excited about the session and we were ready to GO when it was photoshoot time!
Syd and I explored light and shadows, angles and facial expressions. We did light and airy, we did dark and moody, we explored body language and all kinds of angles. Sydney brought the BEST outfits, even a stunning purple number that is a throwback of her mom’s that still looks classic with a vintage twist.
Below are just a few of my favorites from Syd’s shoot… enjoy!!!!! 🙂
Syd’s hair and makeup were done by the uber talented Laine Dagneau.
