Lakeside wedding - Big Bar Lake BC photographer Lisa NovakOh, gosh, these two.  Seriously.  I knew after their engagement session that they have a beautiful chemistry that is ahhhh-mazing to capture on camera, but they still managed to blow me away during their wedding day.  Lauren’s family has a beautiful house on Big Bar Lake so the decision was made to have the wedding out there.  And it was a bit “out there”…  the spectacular drive off the main highway, through lush forested BC landscapes was not only breathtaking, but dotted with cheeky hand painted signs to guide travelers that said things like “Yes, you love us this much”. So funny!

The wedding day dawned beautifully sunny with only white puffy clouds left over from the previous day’s rain, perfect wedding day weather.  After a relaxing morning of getting ready the couple met for their first look.  Tyler had proposed to Lauren at a log bench, cut from a fallen tree, just down the road, and they decided their first look should be at the same bench.  From the moment Lauren slipped her hands around Ty’s waist, and instead of turning around he reached back and grabbed her butt, it was a day of non-stop moments, sweet, tender moments that made you cry, or side hugging, gut splitting laughter moments, and everything in between.  It was SO hard to curate photos for this blog post, I wanted to put everything in there.  I restrained myself though.  You’re welcome.  What you see here is just a smattering of my favorite moments of their wedding day story.  Little things like boating out into the middle of the lake to photograph the couple on the party barge.  Like beer pong in the middle of a forest meadow Yes, that happened!  After all the portraits were done we took just a few minutes for a game of beer pong, and there’s something about doing an activity just for the fun of it that settled all the pre-ceremony nerves.  Lauren and Ty even did an impromtu game of Rock, Paper, Scissors to decide who was going to do their vows first, haha, since that hadn’t been decided.  So many things like this that just speak volumes about what they’re like as a couple.  And they are pure awesome!

The ceremony space welcomed visitors with a stunning view, beautiful rustic country decor, and a box of kleenex.  Good thing too, I don’t think there was a dry eye out there when Lauren’s dad walked her up to Tyler.  It was amazing!!

Thanks for reading this far!!  And now that you have an a few nuggets of the story of Lauren and Tyler’s incredible wedding, I’ll let the visuals fill in the blanks!
