A Cherry blossom engagement session in Vancouver.  Earlier in the spring, when the city of Vancouver (finally) started to bloom, I met with Shevawn and Dave to shoot their engagement session.  I always love an excuse to be in my favorite city, and I’m not gonna lie…. it is so much fun to shoot somewhere different!  Vancouver is a beautiful city any time of the year, but when it’s blooming it’s magical.  We found ONE park that was in bloom, and luckily it was blooming in exactly the right way to afford us some stunning backdrops.   Magnolias are my favorite flower and  the sweet smelling cherry blossoms catch sunshine in the most amazing way ever!  OH, yes, and the sunshine.  Not sure how we managed it, but I was in the city this whole week and it rained aaaallllll week, except for this day.  Spectacular timing!!

Artists have been painting murals all around the city the last while, and Shevawn found one particular one she loves.  She is a self-proclaimed lover of color, and this mural fit the bill just right.  We stopped for a drink and made ourselves at home on the patio overlooking the bay.  🙂  We rounded out the session with a sunset jaunt on Kitsilano Beach, one of my favorite beaches in the city.  After it was all said Shevawn and Dave introduced me to Thai food (how I hadn’t ever had it still has me baffled, but I can tell you, I’ve had it LOTS since then.  So so good!
