Oh my goodness, okay, so I loved SO MUCH about this beautiful BC ranch wedding.  SO much.  Idyllic country roads.  Rolling hills and spectacular valley views.  Cowboy hats,  boots, and belt buckles.  White roses and baby’s breathe.  Wind that played in the bride’s hair so perfectly.  Original ranch homesteads.  The perfect grove of trees.  Waving grasslands.  Love. Joy.  Family. Friends.  Clydesdale Horses. The groom and groomsmen arriving to the ceremony on horseback.  Quiet moments.  Rowdy moments. Laughter.  So much.

I first saw the locations at the dress rehearsal the evening before the wedding, and the views were breathtaking!  BC’s summer was one of the worst on record for forest fires, but the wind cleared the smoke away just enough that the views were visible for Krystal and Mike’s wedding day.  And we took full advantage of them 🙂

While the girls spent their morning with Styled by Muah getting pampered and ready for the festivities, the boys took a few minutes between work and preparations for a skeet shooting competition.  The entire bridal party arrived at the ceremony via horse… the men on horseback and the ladies in a horse drawn wagon.  The whole wedding was held on the groom’s family’s ranch just a few kilometers outside of Kamloops.  There’s something about a cowboy wedding that is seriously so romantic… and this wedding was no exception.  The ceremony was on a hilltop overlooking the valley and lake below with sweeping grassy fields in between… it was stunning.  The wind picked up during the afternoon, especially on the hilltop we climbed for photos an the best views.  It was totally worth getting blown around a bit though… the wind played perfectly with both Krystal’s long hair and her dress.  I might have been happy dancing a bit, haha.

One thing the couple really wanted was to have sparklers for their first dance.  With the extremely dry summer I was worried they wouldn’t be able to have that, but thanks to the awesome dance floor that was built for their wedding there was lots of room for people with sparklers and no danger.  It looked amazing with all the twinkle lights!

Congratulations again Krystal and Mike… your day was stunning, and you two are beautiful together <3  This is the story of their day…
