Robin and Natalie chose to have their wedding on a most gorgeous piece of property out in Horse Lake, BC, close to where Robin grew up. When we first talked about their wedding year ago they talked about a wedding on the lake with lace and cowboy boots and bouquets of dahlias and succulents and I was intrigued. The I met them on a snowy winter afternoon out on the property for their engagement session (which you can see here) and I could see what they were so excited about. Of course at that time I could only imagine how beautiful it would be in summer, and the reality far exceeded even that! Throw in an excursion on the lake in canoes and, well, I was in heaven!
The interior of British Columbia is gorgeous… lakes, grasslands, forests, mountains, it’s outdoor paradise, and so diverse. I haven’t been to a part of this beautiful province that I haven’t found breathtaking, and the Horse Lake area is no exception! I’m always thrilled when I have an opportunity like this to go explore a new piece of BC.
And an emotional day it was… much laughter, some tears, remembrances and celebrations…
Congratulations again you two! Your day was almost as beautiful as you guys are!!

Siblings. The bride’s brother and the groom’s sister. This hilarious shot was the brainchild of the three in the background and it pretty much sums up the humor and antics these guys must get into when they’re together.
